Virtual flight over the Riyadh Air Metropolitano and the city of Madrid

We ran a unique activation – both in LALIGA and the Champions League – that combined technology and sport in an innovative and engaging format. A flight simulator allowed our VIP guests to travel on a virtual flight over the Riyadh Air Metropolitano and to see the city of Madrid from the air, all thanks to Google Earth technology.

The experience was aimed at our VIP guests at the Riyadh Air Club, which is one of the most exclusive spaces in the stadium. The simulator offered an immersive experience through VR headsets, allowing users to circle the stadium from above and then get a birds-eye view of various sights around the city. Furthermore, the use thereof required strength and coordination, adding a physical element to the event that made it a healthy activity for our fans.

The event falls under the Club and Riyadh Air’s joint strategy to explore innovative brand activation, generate a real connection with the public and bring added value to the fan experience in key moments of the season.
